DSC-PIC Committee

The District School Council/Parent Involvement Committee (DSC-PIC) supports parents/guardians in engaging in their child’s education. DSC-PIC also provides opportunities for parents/guardians to have a voice that will be taken into account at the Board level. More information can be found in the Ministry of Education Regulation 612/00: School Council and Parent Involvement Committees and the Board’s BD-2007 District School Council – PIC Policy.

Committee membership includes trustees and school council chairs.

All committee meetings start at 6 p.m. and are available at the host location listed below, or online. If you would like to attend online, email our general email at [email protected] for the meeting link. Note: attendees can submit questions prior to the meeting at the time of RSVPing to the meeting invitation.

All TLDSB school council chairpersons or designates; one trustee representative from each region of the Board (all trustees are invited to attend meetings); one principal representative from each region of the Board (all principals are invited to attend meetings); the director of education or designate.

Summer break information

Beginning the week of July 6, the TLDSB Lindsay Education Centre is open to the public Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Muskoka Education Centre is closed to the public over the break.

All school buildings will be closed to the public for the summer break beginning Monday, July 6, reopening on Tuesday, September 1.

The first day of school for both elementary and secondary students is Tuesday, September 8. Note, Kindergarten students will have a staggered start.
