2024-2025 transportation eligibility cut off – July 5
The deadline for new students to register for school and be eligible to receive transportation for the first day of the 2024-2025 school year is Friday, July 5.
Registrations received on or after July 6 will be processed as quickly as possible when schools reopen on Tuesday, August 27. Please note, students registered after July 5 may not receive transportation for the start of the 2024-2025 school year until September 9 or 16, depending on the number of new registrations to process.
After Wednesday, August 21, all parents/guardians are encouraged to check mybustoschool.ca for 2024-2025 transportation arrangements – those new to TLDSB will need to create an account first. There will be an “effective date” indicating the start of transportation.

To register a new student at a TLDSB school, please complete an online application request.
On submission of the registration, a confirmation email will be sent to you along with a file number. Your school will contact you to review and process your application further. If you require additional information please contact your school directly and quote your file number.
If your child is not new to the Board and has previously attended a TLDSB school, do not use this application to register. Instead, please contact the school you wish to register with for further instruction.

TLDSB offers both Junior and Senior Kindergarten programs, where our youngest students discover how to learn cooperatively with others. At this age, play is an important way of learning. As children play, they are learning about the world and how it works, about other people, and about themselves.

Encouraging lifetime learning for all ages, students age 14 and over can earn credits or upgrade skills in any of our six Adult and Alternative Education Centres. Parents/guardians who decide to provide home schooling for their child are to notify the school board of their intent in writing. Provide the name, gender, and date of birth of each child who is receiving home schooling, and the telephone number and address of the home.
If home schooling is to be provided in subsequent years, notification is to be received each year in writing prior to September 1 to the Board in whose jurisdiction their child last attended school. The letter is to contain the same information as in the initial letter described above.
