Trustees are members of Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB). They are your locally elected representatives and are your community’s advocate for public education. Trustees are required to carry out their responsibilities in a manner that assists the Board in fulfilling its duties under the Education Act. Trustees primary responsibilities include establishing and supporting good governance for the school board. Trustees set the conditions that provide high-quality education for every student and participate in making governance decisions that benefit all of TLDSB.
While in office, trustees balance varied responsibilities including setting the board’s strategic directions, establishing board policies and providing input regarding the board budget and allocation of resources.
Your school trustee is a member of a team. Only the team (the Board of Trustees), not the individual trustee, has the authority to make decisions or take any action. The school board must place all students first when making any decision.

Due to forecasted inclement weather with poor visibility and road conditions, transportation to schools is not operating in Zones 3, 4, and 5 today, Thursday, January 15. Schools remain open and learning opportunities will continue for students who are able to safely attend in person.
Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation of their student(s) to and from school on inclement weather days. Drop-off and pick-up must occur in alignment with the regular school day start and end times.
