Requests for promoting your event

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) recognizes and supports the efforts of community groups, organizations, and associations that are of an educational nature for students and/or a school community. TLDSB is committed to working with local non-profit, charitable groups, organizations, and associations to distribute materials to our schools should they meet the criteria outlined below. Please note that the information must be of interest to local students/families and must not compete with classes or programs offered by TLDSB.

Before you submit your request, please ensure your information meets this criteria:

  • Request must be in alignment with the Education Act of Ontario
  • Request must comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Request must not promote a particular political, religious, faith, or spiritual group or belief​
  • Requests should be submitted at least 15 days in advance of the event/program/initiative
  • All information/posters must be electronic in a PDF format – paper copies will not be accepted in accordance with our commitment to the environment by printing less

TLDSB complies with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). As a result, modifications of your materials may be required and electronic distribution may be limited.

Communications Services will not approve materials during the winter, March, and summer breaks, and materials should be submitted after September 1 and no later than the second week of June.

We do not accept flyers to be sent out to parents/guardians from for-profit organizations unless previously approved as a school fundraiser or other school activity.

How to submit your materials for review:

Any external organization looking to share their information with the school community must ensure they’ve met the criteria listed above and complete the Request Form (below) to begin the process. Once reviewed and approved, Communications Services will share the information electronically with schools.
