TLAC 2025 counsellor applications are now open

The Trillium Lakelands Art Camp, otherwise known as TLAC, wouldn’t be the incredible event that it is without the support of amazing camp counsellors (C) and counsellors-in-training (CIT).

C/CITs play a very important role in TLAC. If selected, your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending a C/CIT training session in Haliburton on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
  • Contacting your campers by phone prior to camp.
  • Directing your campers during group activities (emergency drills, cabin challenges, meals, lights out, Pinetages presentations).
  • Making a positive connection with your cabin campers and being a positive role model during camp.
  • Demonstrating leadership qualities throughout all program and camp activities.
  • Completing your TLAC C/CIT journal.

Students must be in Grade 9 or higher to be considered for the position of C/CIT.

If interested in becoming a C/CIT, complete the Application Form. The form will be open on October 7 and close on October 20.

If accepted for the role of C/CIT, students will be notified and invited to complete their TLAC registration on November 18 to 24, prior to the general registration period.

Successful C/CIT participation will be submitted towards community involvement hours by the Board office. C only: students who successfully execute their camp responsibilities will receive a $150 honorarium.

C/CIT applicants not accepted for the role will be contacted and invited to complete the Camper Expression of Interest Form.

Visit the TLAC page on the Board’s website for more information. If you have any questions along the way, please contact [email protected].
