TLDSB secondary students take part in the Special Olympics Track and Field

On May 30, Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCVI) hosted the 15th annual Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) Special Olympics Track and Field.

The event brought secondary students from Fenelon Falls Secondary School, I.E. Weldon Secondary School, LCVI, and St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School currently enrolled in the Practical Academics and Life Skills (PALS) program together for a day of friendly competition and physical activity.

Competitions taking place throughout the day included the 100 metre and 200 metre relay race, standing long jump, and javelin.

The day wouldn’t have been possible without the generous sponsors, including Special Olympics, Kawartha Lakes Lightning, Central Smith Creamery, and Ricarts.
