Local Government Week is taking place October 19 to 23. This annual event recognizes the leadership and contributions of school board trustees, municipal councillors, and mayors.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought new challenges to the board, and we would like to take the time to thank Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) trustees for all they do to support our work in keeping our school communities operating safely for our staff and students.
School trustees are the oldest form of elected representative in Ontario – they’ve been making decisions since 1807. Trustees play a key leadership role in ensuring schools operate within the standards set by the province. They make sure that local school programs and services are responsive to the communities they serve.
