TLDSB hosts first ever Director’s Student Voice Summit

Recently, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) heard from Grade 7 to 12 students across the Board in the first ever Director’s Student Voice Summit.

The summit was held over two sessions, one on May 4 at the Muskoka Education Centre for Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Haliburton, and Huntsville students, and the other held on May 31 at Fenelon Falls Secondary School for City of Kawartha Lakes students.

This summit was another opportunity for students to have their voices heard by the director of education, Wes Hahn, and senior team members with respect to how TLDSB can make learning in our schools more effective for current and future students.

The TLDSB G7 Student Senate was a big part of the sessions and took the lead on facilitating the activities, and ensured students felt welcome, comfortable, and able to express themselves.
