On February 4, members of the Retired Teachers of Ontario (RTO) District 18 visited Trillium Lakelands District School Board’s Lindsay Education Centre to make donations towards the breakfast programs at all of the elementary schools within the City of Kawartha Lakes.
RTO members Marilas McInnis, Debbie Peck, and Ward Levine presented cheques to Director of Education Wes Hahn. District 18 President George Denny recently made similar donations to schools within Haliburton County.
All donations were provided by members of the RTO and other retired education employees who have worked and lived in the region.
