Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) parents/guardians and staff are invited to hear from Katherine Martinko, who will focus on smart strategies to manage screens, including:
- Guidance on when to give child a smartphone
- How to handle social media
- Ways to say ‘no’ and deal with the concept of ‘fear of missing out’ aka FOMO
- How to get comfortable with giving children more independent play
The event will be hosted in two locations on two different days:
District Municipality of Muskoka
When: Monday, September 29, at 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: In-person at the TLDSB Muskoka Education Centre
City of Kawartha Lakes
When: Tuesday, September 30, at 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: In-person at the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lindsay
