On October 25, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) teaching staff, educational assistants, and early childhood educators from all schools across the Board will be participating in professional development in-person, focusing on workplace violence prevention, cyber security, literacy, and mathematics. Below is the format that will be taking place throughout the day for each group:

The day will begin with a review of student learning data from recent assessments, allowing educators to identify trends, strengths, and areas for growth. Educators will then analyze this information to inform their instructional strategies and create plans to address student needs. Additionally, all staff will be given time to complete four cyber security modules.

Length: Half day
Topic: Mathematics
Entity hosting: TLDSB
Presenter(s)/facilitator(s): School administrators
Description: Educators will work in groups to determine the high impact practices they use most often when teaching math, how they might use additional strategies, and how they can explicitly incorporate math and mathematical thinking in courses.
