TLDSB school administrators will participate in the following two half day sessions:
Topic 1: Promoting Mental Health & Well-being
Description: In the morning, school teams will dive into promoting Mental Health, including strategies to support the mental health and well-being of each student, including through the health and physical education curriculum, and a focus on culturally responsive and relevant implementation of social-emotional learning across the curriculum using outdoor learning and encouraging physical activity as strategies to promote experiential, active learning and positive mental health and well-being.
Topic 2: Occupational Health and Safety Training (Violence prevention)
Description: In the afternoon, school teams will work together to plan how to build safe, productive, and positive classroom and school environments for students and staff. They will break the task down into How to Build a School Environment and how to build a Classroom Environment.
