Irwin Memorial Public School students soar for a cause

Submitted by Irwin Memorial Public School

Irwin Memorial Public School (IMPS) achieved a remarkable milestone this year, surpassing previous fundraising goals by raising an impressive $3,200 for the Terry Fox Foundation!

The school’s Terry Fox event took place on September 27, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, parents/guardians, and community members alike.

In celebration of this achievement, teachers surprised the students by donning inflatable costumes during the event. The lighthearted gesture was met with cheers and laughter, as staff joined in on the fun to honour Terry’s legacy. This year’s event marks a significant increase in fundraising compared to past years, reflecting the commitment of the students and their families to making a difference.
