On June 4, the first-ever Eco-fest was hosted at Huntsville Public School (HPS). The all-day event was organized by the parent school council, bringing the Muskoka community together to learn about sustainability through information sessions, products, food, and music.
Over 50 local vendors attended the event and sold sustainable foods and goods. Workshops and presentations were given by the District of Muskoka, as well as local environmental groups and experts.
All funds raised from the event will go towards purchasing items for HPS, including sports gear, audio equipment, and smart boards.
