2021-2022 Board Improvement and Equity Plan Annual Report

Director of Education, Wes Hahn, presented the 2021-2022 Board Improvement and Equity Plan (BIEP) Annual Report to trustees. The report highlights student and staff learning along with well-being initiatives that align with the 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. Hahn highlighted the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) results in the BIEP Annual Report and that there have been many changes since the last EQAO assessment, including a de-streamed mathematics curriculum in Grade 9 and a new format and questions for the EQAO assessment. The EQAO assessment gives Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) a new baseline of data in many areas and Hahn noted that the assessment results are just one of many data collection points that schools and the Board have to make informed decisions moving forward.

Superintendents Kim Williams, Paul Goldring, Jennifer Johnston, Tim Ellis, and Traci Hubbert each presented the trustees with a few department highlights from last school year.

The 2021-2022 BIEP Annual Report can be found on the Annual Report page on the Board’s website.
