Holiday performance
Director of Education Wes Hahn introduced Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) Music Teachers Erin McFadden, Beth Wilson, and Karen Lonsdale who worked with classes from Mariposa Elementary School, Lady Mackenzie Public School, and Monck Public School to prepare a virtual performance for trustees and senior administrators. Each class used musical instruments to perform a seasonal number.
Board elections
Trustee Bruce Reain will remain Chair of the Board for 2021. Reain applauded and thanked his fellow trustees and senior administrators for the work completed over the past year during the COVID-19 pandemic. Trustee David Morrison will also remain Vice Chair of the Board and Trustee Louise Clodd will be the Past Chair.

Teacher hiring policy
Trustees approved the new Teacher Hiring Policy.
Superintendent hiring
Director Hahn provided Trustees with an update on the search for a new Superintendent of Learning, and recommended the hiring of Jay MacJanet. MacJanet is coming from the District School Board of Niagara and will replace retiring Superintendent of Learning Dave Golden.
