On May 3 and 4, I.E. Weldon Secondary School’s (IEWSS) Antics returned to the stage at the Academy Theatre in Lindsay. The talent show highlighted students and staff performances, including music, comedy, dance, and special memories.
Antics first started in 1972, just after the school opened. The annual event continued throughout the 1970s until the mid-1980s. It then returned strong in the 2001-2002 school year and became a new transition for the next generation of Wildcats. Unfortunately, this tradition was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and so Antics 2023 was the first show in three years.
On show night, the whole school community was invited to the theatre to see a total of 10 acts. Each year the school chooses a charity to donate the proceeds from the shows. This year, Antics chose to donate to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kawartha Lakes.
Well done, Wildcats!
