Student employment opportunity: 2026 Summer Learning Program assistants

Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) is currently seeking student assistants to support the 2026 Summer Learning Program.

Taking place from July 6 to 24, the camp-like program is available to primary students in Senior Kindergarten to Grade 2 to support them with their literacy skills.

The student assistant contract positions are available to current Grade 9 to 12 students and will be at the following locations:

  • Gravenhurst Public School in Gravenhurst
  • Huntsville Public School in Huntsville
  • Langton Public School in Fenelon Falls
  • Leslie Frost Public School in Lindsay
  • Monck Public School in Bracebridge
  • Stuart Baker Elementary School in Haliburton

The deadline to apply is Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Summer break information

Beginning the week of July 6, the TLDSB Lindsay Education Centre is open to the public Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Muskoka Education Centre is closed to the public over the break.

All school buildings will be closed to the public for the summer break beginning Monday, July 6, reopening on Tuesday, September 1.

The first day of school for both elementary and secondary students is Tuesday, September 8. Note, Kindergarten students will have a staggered start.
