Elementary
Learning Strategies summer course
We are inviting TLDSB Grade 8 students to prepare for Grade 9 and earn their first high school credit through the Learning Strategies summer course!
Taking place virtually from July 2 to 25, students will learn how to develop and apply numeracy, personal management, and teamwork skills to improve their learning and achievement. The course will help students build confidence and motivation to pursue opportunities for success in their upcoming Grade 9 school year.

Secondary
Summer School
Registration is now open for Summer School, which will take place online and run from July 2 to 25. Courses are available to students in Grade 10 to 12 and include:
- The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course
- Career Studies
- Civics and Citizenship
The deadline to register is Friday, June 14 at 3 p.m.

Summer cooperative education program
TLDSB Grade 10 and 11 students who have a summer job can earn a cooperative education (co-op) credit at the same time through the Summer Cooperative Education Program!
Course format
- Pre-placement: You are required to complete 10 pre-placement hours virtually via Google Meet, where you will complete required paperwork and learn about employment practices and standards.
- Work experience: You must log 100 hours between July 2 and 25 for one credit and/or 200 hours between July 2 and August 21 for two credits. You can track your hours through log sheets, or by submitting pay stubs to your teacher.
- Culminating: You will complete a culminating assignment to complete your credit(s). There are several options to choose from to suit your learning style.
