2024-2025 Board Student Achievement Plan and Director’s Annual Report

Director of education, Wes Hahn, presented trustees with the Board Student Achievement Plan (BSAP) and Director’s Annual Report for the 2024-2025 school year. He noted many highlights from the priority areas from the Ministry of Education’s Student Achievement Plan framework, including the upcoming Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) results, pathway options, graduation rates, mental health supports, safe schools initiatives, and how all of the material in the report work together to create a fulsome student achievement plan and experience for TLDSB students and staff.

Parent/guardian fall survey 2025

Hahn shared the results from the Fall 2025 Parent/Guardian survey, which saw 2,331 respondents. Some key highlights include:

  • 70 percent of respondents stated that they are feeling positively about the start of the school year.
  • Over the four years that TLDSB has conducted this survey, the results from the second question about whether parents/guardians are aware of the mental health supports available in TLDSB have increased steadily each year.
  • When asked for suggestions to further support families, key themes of the areas that were noted include learning environments, prioritizing student well-being, and fostering transparent engagement.
