Dear TLDSB parents/guardians,
With the long weekend upon us, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) trustees, senior team, and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to all families, students, and staff for making the start of the 2025-2026 school year one of the best ever in TLDSB.
Over the past six weeks, I have had the privilege of visiting a number of schools across all geographic areas of the Board. In every school, I have witnessed an unwavering commitment to developing a positive sense of community and to supporting student achievement and well-being. The dedication of our staff – together with the strong relationships with families and community partners – continues to distinguish TLDSB as a known leader in education and achievement across the province.
We are pleased to make you aware of a new online engagement platform, Engage with TLDSB, that will make it easier to engage and collaborate with parents/guardians, students, staff, and community partners on a variety of Board projects and initiatives. In the future, we will seek input on projects, such as boundary/program reviews, policies, and school climate. As we launch this tool, the first item is the annual fall survey to be completed by parents/guardians.
We invite you to visit Engage with TLDSB, and encourage you to complete the three-question survey: Fall 2025 Parent/Guardian Survey. Your responses help guide our decisions and direction for TLDSB, and help us to best understand the needs of our students and our families. The survey will be live until Thursday, November 6.
In this season of gratitude, I sincerely thank you for your continued support of TLDSB students, schools, and the greater community. I wish you all a wonderful long weekend filled with all that brings you joy.
Wes Hahn
Director of education, TLDSB
