As schools reopen to the public this week, and families begin to prepare for the return to school, here are the important dates/reminders:
Schools reopen
All school buildings will reopen to the public on Tuesday, August 26.
Return to school information
Families should expect to receive new school year information directly from their child’s school starting as early as Tuesday, August 26.
The first day of school
The first day of school for both elementary and secondary students is Wednesday, September 3. Note: Kindergarten students may have a staggered start and this information is shared with you from the school.

The 2025-2026 school year calendar (PDF) can be found on the Board’s Calendar page.
Transportation information
Transportation information for the 2025-2026 school year is available via mybustoschool.ca in the parent portal.

School Cash Online
Most TLDSB schools use the School Cash Online platform to allow parents/guardians to pay for their child’s school-related fees.

SchoolMessenger is a parent notification service the Board and its schools use to communicate directly with parents/guardians via phone call, email, text message, and/or app notifications.

All TLDSB elementary and secondary schools have their own website that highlights school-specific information, including news, a staff directory, a calendar, the school schedule, and more.
