We are excited to announce that we have partnered with LEARNstyle to provide summer virtual camp experiences to students with learning disabilities in July and August!
See the three upcoming camp opportunities that are currently available below:
1. Assistive Technology Virtual Camp
- Who is this for: Grades 4 to 8
- Students will build their own website as they discover more about the way they learn and explore learning strategies and assistive technology that works for them. At the end of the program, students will expand on their technology skills and feel empowered, capable and have confidence in their own abilities.
- Length of the program: July 26 to 30 OR August 9 to 13 and will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. OR 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Application deadline: June 25
2. Transition to High School Virtual Camp
- Who is this for: Grades 8
- The program will give students the tools and strategies that are key to helping make their experience a success. In the transition to high school program, students will explore how to use technology to help them stay organized, read text with meaning, and help to write their best work. Self-advocacy will be an important part of the experience.
- Length of the program: July 26 to 30 OR August 9 to 13 and will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. OR 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Application deadline: June 25
3. High School Drop-In Virtual Camp
- Who is this for: Grades 9 to 12
- The program will equip students with strategies utilizing the appropriate assistive technology in specific learning areas and by providing the opportunity to foster independence and grow in confidence.
- Length of the program: August 9 to 13 and will run from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. OR 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Application deadline: June 25
