BRACEBRIDGE, ON – At the Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) Regular Meeting of the Board on January 25, Director of Education, Wes Hahn, presented trustees with the TLDSB 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.

The new strategic plan supports the direction of the system for the next five years with two goals, each focusing on areas specific to students, staff, and the wider TLDSB community. This plan is a commitment to further improve student achievement, foster staff and student well-being, and build stronger parent/guardian and community partnerships in safe, caring, and equitable working and learning environments.

“Throughout the fall, we engaged with all of our stakeholders – students, parents/guardians, staff, and our wider community partners – to hear their voices and ideas on where the strategic direction of TLDSB should be,” shared Hahn. “Through deep analysis of the data collected, we are excited to launch this plan to serve our learning organization.”

The two strategic goals of the plan are aimed at creating a future where students develop the competencies, understandings, self-confidence, and resiliency to lead healthy, successful, and fulfilling lives. These goals are supported by each School Improvement and Equity Plan, as well as the Board Improvement and Equity Plan.

Chair of the Board, Bruce Reain, remarks, “The contributions of our community have made this plan full of meaning and purpose, and I look forward to seeing it come to life over the coming years.”
