The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health announced earlier today that schools under jurisdiction of the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit (HKPRDHU) will be returning to in-person learning on January 25, while schools under jurisdiction of the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) will continue remote learning until February 10.
This means, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) elementary and secondary schools within the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County will return to in-person learning, and elementary and secondary schools within the District of Muskoka will continue remote learning. Please see the school status list below for further clarification regarding schools that are open/closed.
Bus transportation will resume for eligible students in the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County starting January 25.
TLDSB will communicate further with HKPRDHU families within the coming days regarding any new health and safety measures for in-person learning.
