COVID-19 update – April 12

The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, has ordered all publicly funded schools in Ontario to move to remote learning starting Monday, April 19.

This means that Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) elementary and secondary schools will be closed to staff and students following the spring break, with online learning starting on Monday, April 19.

Online learning instructions

All students have access to an online classroom using one of the following platforms: Google Classroom, Seesaw, or Brightspace. The school day schedule will continue to be followed and curriculum will be delivered via a combination of synchronous and asynchronous learning instruction.

Classroom teachers will reach out directly to families on Monday, April 19 to ensure your child is ready for online learning. If you have any questions or if your child requires access to a device to support their learning, please contact your child’s school directly on Monday, April 19. We ask for your patience as we move back into at-home remote learning.

Students eligible for in-person Special Education supports during the January 2021 school closures, will continue in-person supports beginning Tuesday, April 20. Families of students requiring Special Education supports will be contacted on Monday, April 19.
